A family should consider the possibility of transmitting COVID-19 to other family members, especially those at risk of severe illness, when considering whether to send their child to the centre during this time. As per NSW government regulation, your child's centre will not be able to notify you every time a child or staff member takes the COVID test; however, you will be informed if the results raise any concerns (regulation 88(2)) provides for this provision. OR Parents and caregivers will be notified if a child has been exposed to a positive case and given information about testing and isolation recommendations by NSW Health.
