Babies aged 0-2 years

When babies leave their familiar environment, they look for same affection, care and comfort. At Creative Nook, We ensure that they are provided with the same care and affection. Their routines are individualized to their needs and our educators create safe and holistic environment for babies to ensure that they feel safe and secure.

The babies are provided with:

  • Tummy time
  • Rhyme time
  • Story time
  • Physical Education

In our babies’ room, the children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of activities that focuses on building their social-emotional skills.

Sensory Exploration

Our educators provide babies with a variety of materials to explore the world around them. Sand, Homemade play dough, foam, paint are some of the way the babies will explore their senses.

Cognitive & language development

Babies are always learning, thinking, and exploring the world around them. The babies will be provided with learning experiences that are age appropriate and rich. Our educators will support babies grow and develop their language through activities like puppet shows, rhyme signing, book reading and interacting with them through variety of planned activities.

Outdoor & Physical Environment

Developing locomotive skills like crawling, sitting and walking are essential for babies to grasp the knowledge about the world around them. To support this development milestones we have dedicated outdoor area just for babies The children will have fun engaging in sandpit play, water sensory play and various planned gross motor activities.

Toddlers ages 2-3 years

We know that at 2 years age, the children are increasingly becoming more independent and so at Creative Nook, we provide children with time and space to grow, learn and develop their self-confidence. We don’t rush them.

In our toddler room, the learning is initiated by children and their families’ goals.

The children can learn through dramatic and role play.

They develop their language through unique Story telling method.

Our educators plan activities and learning areas, where they interact with children through Story Telling method to enhance children’s vocabulary and social skills.

The children have the opportunity to explore their environment as they please.

Our caring and experienced educators provide learning opportunities within their play.

Pre-schoolers aged 3-5 years

At this age, children are becoming more active in the learning process. They absorb new skills faster and begin to analyze the world around questioning.

Our patience and caring educators understand this and allows the children to ask questions and plan activities through discussions and collaboration.

Our program is created using the Steiner’s approach to teaching. The children focus on creative play, imaginative education and experimental learning that leads to developing valuable literacy, numeracy and academic skills. A variety of open-ended materials are provided to children in the classroom to support their curiosity and learning disposition.

Our High Quality program follows on NSW Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). It is specifically designed to enhance their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Our School Readiness program or Transition to school program supports children’s developmental needs to be ready for school. This program is personalized as per each child’s need and their developmental goal.

Our highly trained educators will deliver the school readiness program to children ages 3 to 6 years.

Creative Nook believes that getting ready for big school is more than just literacy and numeracy. It is more about children being ready socially and emotionally. At Creative Nook our unique school readiness curriculum supports children to develop very important skills like independence, problem solving, turn taking and asking for help when needed. These essential skills are developed through a variety of learning experiences that are hands on, interactive, imaginative, and challenging for children. Our learning experiences will allow your children to develop passion for learning so when they go to big school, they will thrive and develop skills necessary for the bigger world.
